§ 2-5. Elections—Qualifying by candidates.

All candidates for office must hand in their names to the city clerk not more than 60 days nor less than 20 days before the election, on receipt of which the governing body must proceed to have tickets printed to use as official ballots or for preparation of voting machines, which must contain the names of all candidates offering for office.
